Plot

In the tumultuous world of politics and family, we follow the life of the naively oblivious Senator William Powers. His political career is a marionette show, with the strings pulled by his cunning wife, Margaret, his astute chief of staff and clandestine lover, Jordan, and his loyal political aide, Bradley. However, the drama isn't confined to the Senate floor. At home, Powers contends with his high-strung daughter Caitlyn and her despondent husband Theodore, who harbors secret affection for Charlotte, their clumsy yet endearing maid. The plot takes an interesting twist with the sudden appearance of Sophie Lipkin, Powers' unrecognized daughter from a past affair, amid a grueling re-election campaign. This unexpected arrival sends shockwaves through the Powers' household, yet Sophie soon forms a swift and unexpected bond with her father. As she becomes an integral part of his life and career, the narrative unfolds with a blend of humor, drama, and the inherent chaos of a political family.
