Spooks (2002)

MI-5 represents some of the most elite of Britain's intelligence officers, and both the highs and the lows of the job are chronicled in this procedural that doesn't pull any punches. As the agency in charge of handling domestic threats, the team ends up getting tangled up in groups as wide ranging as the London mafia and foreign terrorists planning attacks within the United Kingdom's borders. Death is always a risk for the agents, but they also find themselves facing the more existential question of what lines are worth crossing when people's lives are on the line.
