Plot
A new machine created by genius billionaire Harold Finch offers the bold promise of omniscience, but it comes at a cost. This artificial intelligence can predict the future with near perfect accuracy, and that makes its law enforcement applications obvious. But to avoid ethical quandaries, the machine only presents investigators with a civilian name. They know that person will be involved with a crime, but they can't know the involvement or if that person is a perpetrator, a bystander, or a victim. A former CIA agent is given the task of using the machine to stop crimes before they happen, but the government is looking for both her and Finch.
