Making a Murderer (2015)

Steven Avery spent nearly two decades in prison on counts of sexual assault and attempted murder. With ten years of footage at their disposal, the filmmakers examine the circumstances that led to Avery becoming a suspect and then ultimately being convicted. In addition to examining how the system failed Avery, they also examine the journey to exonerate him and free him from prison after all those years. But the question remains over whether the time he lost can really be gained back, and as to whether the punitive justice of the prison-industrial complex have changed him in a way he can't restore.
