It would be hard to imagine a doctor with worse bedside manner than Gregory House, but hospital administrators tolerate him because of his brilliant skills at diagnosing patients. The most puzzling and life-threatening of cases end up in Dr. House's lap, and he demonstrates a practically supernatural skill for inferring the malady using just his skills of deduction and his comprehensive knowledge of medicine. But Dr. House is secretly grappling with a pill addiction that could put his health and his job at risk. And the young doctors and nurses working underneath him have their own personal struggles to reckon with.
