Plot
The transport ship Serenity has about as ragtag a crew as one could imagine. Captain Malcolm Reynolds was on the wrong side of a galactic civil war, and now he's running a transport operation with a group of other survivors from the war. But when Mal takes in the siblings River and Simon, he's potentially putting himself and his crew at risk for the sake of a good deed. The two are being hunted by the government in power, and they're willing to do anything to get River back. The crew will need to decide what exactly they're fighting for.
