Almost Human (2013)

It's the near future, and humans are working alongside androids that look nearly indistinguishable from humans. Police officer John Kennex wakes up from a months long coma to discover one of his legs has been replaced with a synthetic replacement and his life's fallen apart. Kennex struggles to get back on the job after his injury and chafes against the insistence that he be partnered with an android. He sees them as machines of war and has an innate aversion to them, but could he discover in his android partner a friend and a way to bond over his new way of life?
