The Wave (2008)

High school teacher Reiner Wegner is beloved by his students for his idiosyncratic approach to learning, but he makes a particularly radical decision when he's ordered to teach his students about autocracy. Understanding that his students feel overexposed to Nazism and other forms of autocracy, he lets his classroom develop into a microcosm of authoritarianism. It's not an experiment he gives a lot of thought to, but he quickly discovers that the pull of autocracy is too strong. His students are starting to change for the worse, and this fascinating experiment could lead to dangerous consequences if it's not stopped.
