The Sting (1973)

When infamous mob boss Doyle Lonnegan gets conned by hustler Johnny Hooker, he demands compensation. But when Lonnegan gets his revenge by killing Johnny's close friend, Hooker wants revenge. He teams up with professional con artist Henry Gondorff to stage an aggressive scam that will set up Lonnegan and let them get away with no one else the wiser. Despite a meticulously crafted scheme built by two accomplished pros, things don't quite the way they were supposed to. The two may have proved their capacity for ingenious schemes, but they'll need to also demonstrate that they can think on their feet.
