The NeverEnding Story (1984)

Bastian is a lonely boy who is still reeling from his mother's death. He is bullied at school. One day, Bastian flees from his bullies and escapes into a bookstore. He steals a book called "The Neverending Story." The book quickly becomes an escape for him. Bastian literally disappears into the book and learns all about the land of Fantasia. Fantasia is on the verge of collapse. The young Atreyu is trying to save it. Bastian needs to rely on his own imagination to help.
