The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988)

After thwarting a planned terrorist attack of the United States in the Middle East, bumbling yet dedicated detective Lieutenant Frank Drebin and his police squad receive another critical assignment. This assignment is to oversee Queen Elizabeth II's security while the Queen visits Los Angeles on her United States tour. Shortly before her visit, Drebin hears that his partner and friend, Detective Nordberg, is hospitalized after being gunned down while serving an undercover operation. Investigating Nordberg's attempted murder, Drebin stumbles across a plot to assassinate the Queen. The mastermind behind the assassination plot is a wealthy, sophisticated, well-respected business owner, Vincent Ludwig.
