Lieutenant Frank Drebbin qualifies for every stereotype of the hard-boiled police detective. He's also entirely incompetent. Despite that, he's back on another adventure that will take him around the world. This time, he has to square off against the world's energy magnates. Threatened by a new report that outlines the threats of fossil fuels, these corporations kidnap the scientist who made the report and replace him with a decoy who will be more favorable to them. Drebbin's on the trail, but he'll find himself distracted when the woman he loves walks back into his life and into the line of fire.
