The Master (2012)

Naval veteran Freddie Quell has been restless and adrift for most of his life, and that makes him an ideal target for faith leader Lancaster Dodd, a charming intellectual who's rich and devoted followers refer to him as "The Master". Quell's easily manipulated personality and casual brutality makes him an ideal right hand man for Dodd. In return, Lancaster provides him for the first time in his life with a place to belong. But the more he witnesses, the more he begins to question the absolute authority of his newly found spiritual leader. And Dodd is not a man who tolerates insubordination.
