Sergeant First Class William James is the new team leader for an explosives disposal unit in Iraq in 2004. The team has just over a month left on assignment. Tensions spark and grow between maverick James and team members Eldridge and Sanborn, who view him as reckless. The three struggle to do their jobs as tensions and dangers mount in a place where the threat of violence is always near.
