The Gods Must Be Crazy tells the story of a Coca-Cola bottle that was dropped from an airplane and causes havoc among a tribe of African bushmen. When a Sho in the Kalahari desert encounters the Coca-Cola bottle and believes it is a utensil of the gods, the villagers begin to fight over it. Modern civilization is questioned and investigated as the viewer is introduced to a schoolteacher of the small village, a band of revolutionaries, and a fumbling biologist.
