In the bustling cityscape, Buster, a hapless underdog, is thrust into a whirlwind of misadventures after a simple quest for a fresh loaf of bread leaves him in the crosshairs of relentless law enforcement. His world nosedives into chaos when he unwittingly becomes the subject of a dire case of mistaken identity. The real malefactor, the notorious outlaw Dead Shot Dan, is poised for his photographic arrest record. However, a harmless yet disastrous blunder swaps Buster's fate with that of the feared criminal. Suddenly, the city is plastered with "Dead or Alive" posters bearing Buster's bewildered face, forcing him to duck and dive through the intricate urban labyrinth.
