Everett Stone is bringing his girlfriend Meredith home to meet the folks, intending to propose to her over the holidays. His plans quickly go awry as it becomes clear that Meredith is too uptight to fit into his unconventional family—or is she? Over the course of a few days, the couple will learn more about each other—and themselves—than they ever intended, making this a Christmas they'll never forget.
