Plot

Set against a stark monochrome backdrop, "Say it with Flowers" embarks on a haunting journey with Klaus, a Nazi officer wrestling with his failed plot against Hitler. In a frantic state, Klaus commits an unthinkable act, shooting his children and gravely injuring his pregnant wife. His suicidal attempt is thwarted by his own fear, leading him to a hasty escape on a motorcycle, marking the end of his tragic saga with a fateful crash. As the film transitions to the vibrant hues of France, the plot delves into the life of Jean-Claude, a young man grappling with his own insecurities due to a facial disfigurement. He lives in a house filled with peculiarities: his father Jacques Bergé, trapped in his own world, is consumed by Egyptian art; his mother Concepción is similarly ensnared, her obsession with the flowers in her garden hinting at a potential paranoia. Completing this unusual domestic tableau are Jean-Claude's siblings: Robert, a mute and deaf boy, and the inseparable twins, Antoine and Raymond. The story, narrated by Jean-Claude to a police commissioner, takes an intriguing turn with the unexpected arrival of Ursula. A beautiful young woman, she steps into their eclectic household under the pretext of caring for the children. As the narrative unravels, the viewers are left to navigate the labyrinth of secrets, obsessions, and the haunting echoes of the past.
