Remember the Titans (2000)

In 1971, Herman Boone, a black coach from North Carolina, was newly appointed to head coach at Alexandria, Virginia's T.C. Williams High School over the previous white coach, Bill Yost. Because of the new mandate requiring school integration and the closure of two segregated schools, tensions were high between the races when the football team first worked together during their training camp in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. While the players trained together, they learned about each other, tensions eased and friendships began to form. But, when they returned to Alexandria, the city met them with a lot of strife. With their commitment to a perfect season, the players showed that the two races could work together, and the changes are for the better.
