Successful screenwriter Gil Pender vacations in Paris with his fiancee, Inez. He dreams of living in Paris and writing the day away once he marries. Inez does not share in his vision, nor does she believe that the 1920s were the golden age of life. When Inez decides to go off dancing one night, Gil walks around the city. Finding inspiration for his craft, Gil resolves to continue these midnight walks, as he finds what he has been looking for. But is he willing to get closer to his dreams and farther from his marriage to Inez? At what cost?
