Marshall (2017)

Thurgood Marshall was the first black Supreme Court Justice, but it was a long and hard battle to get there. This is a story from his time as a traveling lawyer working on behalf of the NAACP. When a black chauffeur is accused of raping a rich white woman, the entire city of Bridgeport is in an uproar. A racist judge won't allow Marshall to speak during the trial, leaving a small town insurance lawyer to handle the speaking while Marshall builds the case and the argument for the defense. The odds are stacked against justice, but Marshall won't relent.
