Lincoln (2012)

The movie, which takes place towards the end of the Civil War, provides viewers with an in-depth view of the life of Abraham Lincoln. Much of the movie focuses on the final battles of the Civil War and the struggle of Lincoln's Republican Party - and the United States governments as a whole - as they attempt to create a reconstruction. Much of that reconstruction rests of the ratification of the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and Lincoln is shown negotiating to win the votes necessary to formally end slavery. Many of Lincoln's relationships are also highlighted, including those with his wife and young son.

Lincoln is a drama movie featuring Daniel Day-Lewis.
