Left Behind (2014)

This movie is the novelization of the wildly popular Christian fiction series. The film opens with the Rapture, a biblically foretold event in which the faithful will be spirited off to heaven, leaving only the wicked and the Devil himself behind to fight over the remnants of the Earth. The film features the rapture from the perspectives of various characters, including pilot Rayford Steele, his daughter Chloe and others. Steele is flying a plane when the rapture occurs, resulting in the disappearance of his copilot and dozens of others on board his plane.
