Kiss of the Dragon (2001)

Liu Jian is a committed officer from China who has come to Paris to apprehend a Chinese drug lord and his French partner. His partner is secretly and conveniently Richard, a cop who's heading up the local vice squad. He attempts to kill the drug lord to take over his business and frame Jian for the crime, but Jian manages to get away. He's now on the run in a country where no one believes him. But he finds an unlikely ally and an important source of information in the form of an American farm girl who works for Richard.
