Jupiter Jones is a woman on a mission. She's just not quite sure what that mission is a of yet. Jones was born after her father was shot while trying to protect his prized telescope from being stolen in the middle of a burglary. She's now working as a maid and unsure where she wants to head next. Then one day her life is changed forever. She finds out something important about her entire family that leads them and her into danger. She's left to figure out who she really is and what she wants from life on planet Earth.
