Interview with the Vampire (1994)

A reporter meets a man who says he is a 200-year-old vampire and hears his life story. Louis de Pointe du Lac relates a tale of loss and loneliness as he describes how he was once a plantation owner in Louisiana in 1791 but accepted the choice to become a vampire after the death of his wife and child. Regretting his decision, he refused to drink human blood until he could not bear it any longer and fed on a 10-year-old girl, whom he and Louis then turned into a vampire. Across the decades, his suffering continues.
