I Saw the Devil (2010)

A young woman’s car breaks down, and she accepts help from a stranger who turns out to be a deranged serial killer. He tortures and murders her. As it happens, the woman’s father is a retired chief of police. Her fiancé, Kim Soo-hyeon, is a secret agent. Her father pleads with Kim to find the psychopath who killed his daughter. Kim does so, but instead of bringing him to justice, he beats the killer mercilessly and then releases him so that he can continue to pursue and recapture him repeatedly and torture him over and over again.

I Saw the Devil is a horror movie featuring Lee Byung-hun and directed by Kim Jee-woon.
