When Zooey and Peter get engaged, she makes the startling discovery that he has no real friends. His entire life revolves mainly around his job and her and before that, his previous girlfriends. Zooey insists that Peter needs to find some male friends, so Peter embarks on a series of "dates" in an effort to find a friend. In a chance meeting, he ends up hitting it off with a man named Sydney, but their growing friendship begins to threaten his relationship with Zooey.
