Hostage (2005)

As a former hostage negotiator for the LAPD, Jeff Talley is capable of talking his way through some of the tensest situations imaginable. But he finds himself facing almost impossible decisions when his own family is kidnapped as leverage in a hostage negotiation he's directly involved in. As the town's sheriff, he has an obligation to protect the suburban family held hostage by a pair of twitchy bank robbers. But if he doesn't help with an act of corporate espionage, his own wife and daughter could die. At the same time, he catches wind that a serial killer may have complicated the situation.
