Green Lantern (2011)

Based on the popular and long-running DC Comics series, Green Lantern tells the story of arrogant, overweening test pilot Hal Jordan, who’s thrust into the middle of an ancient war between a malevolent entity called Parallax and an intergalactic police force, the Green Lantern Corps. After crashing on Earth, a Green Lantern called Abin Sur realizes he will soon perish and recruits Jordan as his successor. However, Jordan does not have much time to learn the powers of the Green Lantern before a newly released and emboldened Parallax once again threatens the safety and peace of the entire universe.
