Funny Games (1997)

A woman, her husband, and her son are held hostage and forced to play out sick games for the amusement of their captors in their own home. Paul and Peter are complete ciphers, but the one thing that can be confidently said about them is that they're relentless purveyors of violence. It's their outward politeness that allows them into the family's home, but they'll force their victims to make heartbreaking choices all in pursuit of their funny games. Whether or not the family survives is up for question, but so is the question of whether they're forced to betray one another in unforgivable ways.
