James Reece is practically a nobody, but he has ambitions that go well beyond his current job as an aide to the Paris ambassador. Reece wants to work in black ops, and he's offered help to the CIA wherever he can in an attempt to ingratiate himself to American intelligence. Everything changes when the CIA asks him to pick up a man by the name of Charlie Wax. Loud, overweight, and uncouth, Charlie is the exact opposite of what Reece expects a CIA agent to be like. But Reece begins to question the objectives behind the bloody rampage Charlie is leading him on.
