Flubber (1997)

Philip Brainard is a forgetful professor who simply cannot remember anything - even the day of his wedding! Indeed, Brainard is obsessed with his research to develop a new energy source in an effort to save the college that he works at. While that research fails, he does succeed in developing Flubber, a green goop that is alive and capable of thought, consciousness, and movement. Flubber quickly attracts the attention of all the wrong people, and Brainard must work with his fiance to protect the living substance from falling into the wrong hands.
