EverAfter (1998)

This film is supposedly the true Cinderella story. In the 18th century, a wealthy older woman meets the Brothers Grimm and tells them many local legends including what is the truth about Cinderella. The story is the same with the evil stepmother and stepsisters and the charming prince, but there a few new twists and turns. It takes place in 16th-century France. Her fairy godmother is none other than Leonardo da Vinci, and she has to overcome some challenges if she wants to achieve happily ever after. Will she be able to save the prince and escape her horrible family?
