Defiance (2008)

The Bielski brothers managed to survive the initial Nazi invasion of Poland in 1941, but they were the only ones to escape the massacre of their village. With the country occupied, they have nowhere to hide but in the woods. Survival becomes a priority immediately, but they'll soon find other partisans and survivors, and they'll be forced to face tough choices. Tuvia has set his mind to the practical goal of creating a settlement and helping his people survive in the wild. His brother Zus wants to join the resistance and bring the fight back to the Nazis, but all of the brothers will have to grapple with the anti-Semitism in their own ranks.
