Death Race 2 (2010)

In a future where prisons are privately owned and maintained with little to no public oversight, the maximum security prison known as Terminal Island has been transformed into the stage for a popular television event: Death Match. But as a spin-off of the gladiatorial series, an ambitious TV producer suggests a deadly competition taking place on the track. Death Race will be as lethal as its forebear, but it also offers an opportunity to convicted getaway driver Carl Lucas. He got railroaded by the system, but he can have his charges expunged entirely if he can win five races in a row.
