Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)

Something strange is happening all over the world. People are seeing unidentified lights in the sky. Scientists are looking into it as well. Roy Neary, an electrician sent to check out power outages, is burned by a UFO that flies by his truck. He becomes obsessed with the UFO and the image of a mountain as does another woman, Jillian, whose son disappears after her home comes under attack. Along with many other people who have been experiencing strange phenomena, they travel to the site for an encounter with the alien intelligence.
