Batman (1989)

Still haunted by the death of his parents as a child, billionaire businessman and playboy Bruce Wayne leads a secret identify as the crime-fighting superhero Batman. This vigilante persona is designed to keep the city safe from rampant crime. But the situation in Gotham begins to spiral out of control when known gangster Jack Napier stumbles into a murder attempt concocted by his own boss in retaliation for a personal slight. After falling into a vat of chemicals, Napier becomes horribly disfigured and assumes the persona of the insane villain known as the Joker. Batman must stop the Joker from unleashing terror upon Gotham while he also struggles to reconcile his own crime-fighting alter ego with his personal life.
