Alien (1979)

The crew of the interstellar space cargo Nostromo is awakened from cryo-sleep when the ship’s computer detects a distress call from a desolate moon. Obligated to investigate, a team lands on the moon and finds an ancient, crashed alien vessel. Inside, they encounter a hive of large unhatched eggs of an unknown alien species. When one of the eggs bursts open and infects a crewman with an implanted alien embryo, they make haste back to the ship. Although the crewman seems to recover, a monstrous “xenomorph” is about to hatch from its human host and violently terrorize the Nostromo.

Alien is a horror movie featuring Sigourney Weaver and directed by Ridley Scott.
