A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)

It's the 22nd century, and when Henry and Monica's child Martin becomes ill, they get a robot that looks like a human child, David. David comes to love Monica and longs for her to feel the same way about him. However, when Martin recovers and comes to live with them, he is jealous of David and goads him to behave in ways that upset Henry and Monica. Monica wants David to be destroyed but relents at the last minute and leaves him in the woods where he goes on a journey that he hopes will someday end in becoming a human boy.
