A Cinderella Story (2004)

When Sam loses her Dad, she is left with a step-mother who can't stand her and step-sisters who make her life miserable. The high point of Sam's life is her best friend, Carter, and Nomad, with whom she has an e-mail relationship. Nomad wants to meet Sam at their school's Halloween dance. The two masked teenagers dance together before Nomad unveils himself. Sam is stunned when she finds out who Nomad really is. She instantly runs away without showing herself to him. In her haste to get away, Sam drops her cell phone. Nomad finds the phone and promises he will find out who it belongs to.
