Miserly Ebenezer Scrooge spends Christmas Eve counting his coins and jeering at his underpaid employee. Over the night, he's visited by a series of ghosts, each of whom reveal different aspects of his personality and his past life. Slowly, Scrooge realizes he's become a miserable man who treats those around him abominably. Will he remain stubborn or will he experience a Christmas miracle and agree to change his ways?
