There's a legend that the world was once saved by four heroes who each wielded their own legendary weapon. As the kingdom of Melromarc stands on the precipice of disaster, they summon on the four heroes to save them from absolute destruction. But the heroes brought to Melromarc aren't the stalwart defenders the kingdom was expecting but instead are simply four hapless people from 22st century Japan. Naofumi Iwatani has been summoned asthe Shield Hero, but his inexperience and underwhelming choice of weapon make him a laughingstock. When a series of unfortunate circumstances leave Naofumi deemed an outcast, he decides to get revenge.

The Rising of the Shield Hero is an action show featuring Kaito Ishikawa and created by Aneko Yusagi.
